Helga Ritsch established her studio in 2001 in Zurich. Her work is entirely wheel thrown and handmade in stoneware and porcelain. She draws inspiration from the woods and mountains surrounding her studio in the South Grisons, creating unique pieces that focus on a visual search for simplicity, serenity and beauty. Most of her work is made from translucent white porcelain and dark black or celadon glazed stoneware. Ristch's work falls into two main categories. The 'Edition Potterpieces' are made from white porcelain and are intended for everyday use. The 'Edition Masterpieces' range comprises more experimental pieces and are intended for display.
