English Oak Arm Chair

Bobby Mills handbuilt Arm Chair in English Oak. Made entirely by hand in Bobby's wood workshop in Devon. 

Gathered from an English Oak grown in Devon, the seat is carved from a single piece of wood using a selection of traditional hand tools. Using steam and straight grained oak, the crest is bent into shape to form a continuous curve. Each spindle, back post and undercarriage component has been hand cut and turned on a woodworking lathe. Wedged tapered tenons anchor the legs, arms and back posts into the seat. Each tenon wedge is made by hand from English Brown Oak to give a subtle contrast to the natural oak colouring.
