Men's Relaxed Fit Jacket in Piacenza Alashan 3 Ply Cashmere

Blue Mountain School

One of only four pieces of its kind, created exclusively for Blue Mountain School.

The jacket is cut from a wide-shoulder 1980s pattern, using extensive tailoring research. It is made from a supersoft 550 gram 3-ply Alashan cashmere, woven by Fratelli Piacenza of Pollone Biella, and lined with a pure silk 16-momme rash satin lining, made exclusively by the Brenna family of Como.

The jacket is then hand-washed and dyed in Cavarzere, Venice, in the GBS super workrooms, using an 'accident' dye process, which required over 2 days work to achieve the characteristic mottled colouring, softness, and shape.

The design features hand-stitch detail work in 3-ply and 4-ply Cariaggi Mongolian cashmere yarns, hand cut besom and besom pockets, raglan sleeves, and a functioning surgeon's cuff. Also included are real-horn buttons, by the Fontana family of Parma.
